FAA warns Cessna pilots about water in their gas tanks
In a Special Airworthiness Information Bulletin, the FAA is warning pilots of Cessna 100, 200 and 300 aircraft to take extra care in checking for water during their pre-flight. The FAA strongly advises that this check be made befroe every flight. The FAA also suggests that aircraft have plenty of drains at a variety of locations and that at least a cup of fuel should be drained from each.
