What does an Aircraft Parts Sales Representative do?  You’ll work in a casual office environment that has ample workspace with plenty of room to take a break, eat lunch and unwind.  You’ll be growing relationships with our existing customer base while building new relationships.  You’ll be a counselor to customers; helping them find parts that no one else can.  Whether a customer needs a simple oil filter, or a new wing spar for a Cessna 210, you will be their problem solver.  They will know you can take care of them.  Sales Reps at Air Power are also promoters; our vendors count on us to sell their products.  For that reason, we only sell products that we are comfortable putting our name behind!

Let’s look at successful Sales Representative.  First, they have to be passionate about general aviation or have a strong interest in learning about it.  They need General Aviation experience, whether prior parts experience, is a pilot or an experienced A&P mechanic.  Someone with a very strong automotive parts background can also be successful at Air Power.  The Sales Rep’s communication skills have to be extremely strong; you’ll be communicating on the phone and via email, to people all over the world.  You have to be organized, dependable, driven, adaptable and you have to be a teammate.  You need to thrive in a position where you earn a base pay, yet a large portion of your compensation is performance.
